As our first brunch of 2012, EasySundays invites you to tantilise your tastebuds with delicious treats from the Americas from North to South. For this special brunch, we will be re-supporting our friends at the Escuela Democratica de Huamachuco in Peru.
From Canadian maple syrup and pancakes to American cupcakes and cookies, sweet Caribbean plantains, Latin American tacos, Brazilian pao de queijos and Peruvian ceviche... there is something cooking for all foodie enthusiasts on March 4th!

The cost of the brunch will be 10€ per person to be paid at the door (advanced payment not possible). And as usual, kids eat for free.
About the cause: La Escuela Democratica de Huamachuco.
The Escuela Democratica de Huamachuco is Peru's first democratic school (what is a democratic school?). Huamachucho is located in a very remote area and in one of the poorest regions of the country. EasySundays has supported the school's building projects since 2009. It has been a pleasure to follow the progress over the last three years, watching as walls and doors go up, plumbing is installed, more and more children gain access to this unique approach to learning and to see how the community has come together for their children. For this reason, we are very proud to support the Escuela Democratica for our first EasySundays brunch of 2012. Learn more about the school's programme (in Spanish).

As there are many amazing charitable causes in Belgium and abroad, rather than reinventing the wheel, EasySundays aims to support existing projects and associations. And how do we do this? We brunch!
The EasySundays concept consists in socialising over a Sunday brunch, tasting home-made food, discovering new places in Brussels (and now abroad in Washington, DC!) and supporting selected causes. EasySundays also aims at bringing together different communities living in international cities, creating opportunities for ‘expatriates’ and ‘locals’ to meet.
EasySundays brunches are ambulant; we try to discover new locations and are therefore always in the lookout for new venues.
We always offer home-made food, prepared by the core EasySundays group and volunteers, and aim to make our brunches as sustainable as possible. We strive to enforce the slogan “Eat locally and seasonally; act globally.” We also try to produce as little waste as we can and opt for re-usable materials whenever possible.
